Bubble Gum Blocks baby quilt

Everyone around me is getting pregnant. I'm sure it has to do with me being 26 years old and all my friends are in the same age range. However, no one told me how many baby gifts I would be making in such a short period of time.. and hello!!! I have a 3 month-old baby myself! Luckily, I loooove to sew & quilt especially baby stuff!

So here is my latest Crafty Gemini creation! A baby quilt for a friend's baby shower. She is having a little girl and the nursery theme is underwater/aquarium animals. I found this backing fabric and completely fell in love! It matches the theme to the T and it's feminine at the same time. phew! Joann's to the rescue, yet again.

I free-hand quilted sea anemones in the center of the main blocks and then swirls up and down the bordering strips. I am very pleased with the way it came out.
