He is getting into just about everything these days and I wanted to make him some lounging pants that cover his knees for him to crawl and run about it in. Here he is wearing the finished pair pf pants! Isn't he a cutie?! I ♥ my little bug sooooo much!
I have whipped up another video tutorial for you and I hope you will try it out because it is so easy and environmentally friendly, too! In this tutorial I show you how to make baby/toddler pants out of a t-shirt. If you are a beginner, you have to give this a try! A first timer should be able to complete a pair in less than 1 hour, easily! You can make shorts or pants using this same tutorial. Now......watch my video...then go raid your closet for old t-shirts and go sew!

And actually you could have left the pin in at that point...if the pin is facing that way the sewing machine WILL sew over it...i was scared to do it when someone told me but I did and it works. It just HAS to be facing the way u had it in this vid. =) Thanks for the tutorial!

Thank you for this tutorial, it's amazing how much easier it is for me to understand watching a video versus just reading a pattern. Think I'll be stopping by the fabric store for some elastic and sewing my little guy some new pants-- ones that actually fit him!

In all, how long did it take you to make those darling and simple pairs of t shirt pants? If you don't want me to, then I will remove the address. DeleteWow, what a great way to reuse old t-shirts! I've made plenty of "lazy" pj pants for around the house, but I never thought of that. Thrift store t-shirts will be waaaay cheaper than buying fabric brand new. Great tutorial!
