The machine has 12 needles that come already installed for you. A guard to protect you from getting your precious fingers too close to the needles. It has no buttons or screens to deal with. Simply step on the foot pedal and go!
I've played around with quite a few fabrics and materials so far including natural and synthetic fibers and have had no trouble at all.
I'm excited to play around with this little machine some more and bring you some tutorials in the near future because there is so much that can be done with it!

This is so awesome. My mom and I were just oogling one of these the other day. Even my four year old thought it was cool! Is there a way to enter without setting up a youtube channel thing? I'm not big on the idea of having my info hanging out there.
ReplyDeleteI saw one of these arround Christmas time however I can't afford one yet but it would really help out with the jackets I make nd donate to less fortunate children in my area. I buy old wool blankets from Good Will and other places. I then make childrens jackets and embellish them with pieces of wool and roaving to make the look less "blankety". The problem is that hand felting takes longer and I can't always get enough jackets made for the need in my area. If I could win this giveaway it would really help out for the upcomming winters here in Washington state. My area is having a large increase of displaced workers. The food banks are in need and so are the children. I don't know how much longer this decline is going to last but I do know that children are always in need. I also know that having just one important thing donated to a needy family can take so much stress off of a parent. This is something I can do to give back to a community that has helped my family when we were in need.

ReplyDeleteWait, I'm confused. On the video, one of the requirements is to "like" Simplicity's FB page... but here, you're saying we don't have to have one to enter. So.. how do we know if we're getting a fair chance at winning if we (us that don't have FB accounts) don't "like" Simplicity's fb page?? :(

Hi <3 Crafty Gemeini <3 I'm <3 DIY Leo <3 .......I made for my Son and Grandchildren a huge felt board. I've made a Christmas scenery, a Halloween scenery, a Winter scenery, Math, Color & Shapes etc....all by hand. The children would play for hours. I too could play for hours with the Simplicity 12 Needle Deluxe Felting Machine. It would be a blessing.

I would like to win the Simplicity's 12 Needle Deluxe Felting Machine because I have enjoyed seeing new felting products but they seemed hard to do. This machine will make it easier and less time consuming with an 8 month old wandering around as I'm sure you can understand. I'd LOVE to try a quilt with this machine too.
